Uppdatering 26 juli 2011 – Searchlight – Press Release: ”Anders Behring Breivik was in contact with the EDL” – Quote:

”Anders Behring Breivik was in contact with the EDL, supported their aims and was involved in the Norwegian Defence League, Searchlight can reveal. [. . .]

Asked by EDL supporters if he was active in the Norwegian Defence League, Breivik replied:

‘I was but, the site has been put down now. There was to be a demo in Oslo on the 26 of February but after the police security service put us on the ”danger-list” the the internet site was sadly shut down.’

He went on to describe his hatred of society in Norway and specifically picked out the Norwegian Labour Party for his criticism.

‘The biggest problem in norway is that there is no real free press, there is a left-wing angle on all the political topics so most people are going around like idiots. And offcourse with our norwegian labour party beeing in power for most of the last 50 years dont help. but i i think there is an awakening now atleast i hope so. Do some of you know the truth about what happened to the ndl, there was some clames that neo-nazis had hijacked the organisation, but on the ndl site i cant really say i noticed anything like that. So may guess is that there were some kind of police pressure to stop the movement. Anyone here heard anything?’

In another posting he attacked the British society and expressed his interest in joining an EDL demonstration:

‘i’ve seen with my own eyes what has happened to england, i was in bradford some years ago, me and a friend walked down to the football stadium of bradford, real ”nice” neighborhood, same thing in the suburbs of london. well thinking about taking a little trip over the sea and join you in a demo. would be nice with a norwegian flag alongside with union jack or the english flag, that is if a norwegian would be welcome offcourse?’

This message appears to confirm the rumour that Breivik once lived in the UK. His father was a diplomat and is believed to have been based in London for some time.

Breivik was told by EDL supporters that he would be most welcome, to which he replied:

‘I hoped so:) it’s our common struggle against the islamofacists.’

EDL supporters were keen to have his support. An EDL forum member, username ‘Concerned’, replied: ‘Bravo sigurd admire your views and courage. no surrender and welcome.’

Breivik then went quiet. A few days later he shut down his facebook site, went offline and began the final countdown to his killing spree.

Friends

Breivik was Facebook friends with dozens of EDL supporters and even some BNP members.

Norwegian Defence League

Anders Behring Breivik was a supporter of the Norwegian Defence League and was known to Ronny Alte, from Tensberg, who created a NDL Facebook group with some friends. The group gathered more than 500 members, including convicted nazis and exiled Russians belonging to the banned Slavic Union.

One of the Russians is Vjoteslav Datsik, who walked into an Oslo police station in 2010 and applied for political asylum while waving a handgun. Datsik is in custody awaiting extradition to Russia, where he is wanted by the police after absconding from a mental hospital.

The group’s reputation was tarnished publically after the involvement of these nazis was revealed, but despite claiming they had been expelled Alte had difficulty explaining why his group still included Datsik, as well as the convicted nazi bank robber Werner Holm and violent nazis such as Johnny ”Light” Olsen”, Morten Andre Serensen and Dariusz Arnesen, all previously connected with the now defunct Norwegian ‘Blood and Honour’ network.

Ronny Alte, who knew Breivik under the name Sigurd Jorsalfare, remains one of the administrators of the Norwegian Defence League sites.

In his internet exchanges with the EDL, Breivik makes it clear that he did not believe that there was any nazi involvement in the NDL despite the clear evidence to the contrary.

British links to the NDL

The English Defence League has close links with the NDL. The NDL facebook site is administered by Jeff Marsh, a leading EDL organiser and football hooligan. Marsh was once given a two-year prison sentence for stabbing two Manchester United fans.

In April 2011 the NDL held a demonstration in Oslo. Speaking at the event was Tower Hamlets-based EDL activist Darren Lee Marsh. Marsh has been a steward on EDL demos and is close to the EDL youth leader Joel Titus. He also claims to be a member of UKIP. Marsh’s facebook friends include several EDL organisers, including Jack Smith (the London EDL organiser), Paul Prodromou (aka Pitt) (the Essex EDL organiser), and Guramit Singh, who was the EDL’s press officer until recently.” – Slut uppdatering

Tidigare har bland annat Expressen skrivit om SD:s vit makt-kopplingar i artikeln ”Här är SD-kandidaterna med vit makt-kopplingar” och med de senaste uppgifterna om Anders Behring Breiviks kopplingar till English Defence League framträder en vidgad bild av hans förbindelser med andra högerextrema:

”Anders Behring Breivik had extensive links to the far-Right English Defence League, senior members of the group have admitted.

Breivik was understood to have met leaders of the EDL in March last year when he came to London for the visit of Geert Wilders, the Dutch Right-wing politician. Daryl Hobson, who organises EDL demonstrations, said Breivik, who told police there were ‘two more cells’ ready to follow him, had met members of the group.

Another senior member of the EDL said Breivik had been in regular contact with its members via Facebook, and had a ‘hypnotic’ effect on them.”

I Aftonbladet-artikeln ”Extrema nätverket på väg till Sverige” sägs:

”Militanta antimuslimer bygger nu ett världsomspännande nätverk.

I centrum står brittiske miljonären Alan Lake – vän till SD-riksdagsmannen Kent Ekeroth.

– Jag är beredd att avrätta islamister, säger Lake i en intervju med norska TV2.”

Konfronterad med detta, hade SD:s Kent Ekeroth då svarat:

”– Jag har träffat honom vid två tillfällen. Av det jag har sett och hört av honom så förespråkar han demokrati och inte någon form av våld, säger Kent Ekeroth.”

Anders Behring Breivik säger sig också vara ”anti-nazist” men likväl som han blivit fostrad i Fremskrittspartiet under sju år ingår enligt media i hans ideologiska och politiska ‘engagemang’, att han var medlem på nazistiskt webforum och gick med i nynazistiska ”The Vikings” redan som 17-åring där han fungerade som dörrvakt m m:

”Breivik — who fantasised about carrying out an Anthrax attack — was also pictured in an anti-chemical warfare outfit, Masonic regalia, and a military ceremonial uniform he was not entitled to wear.

The English and Norwegian Defence Leagues deny he was a member. But the fanatic joined the Vikings when he was 17. [. . .]

Breivik — who honed his terror skills at camps run by neo-Nazis called The Vikings — told how he built an arsenal of guns and kept a huge explosives cache at an isolated farm. [. . .]

The group planned to storm parliament with guns blazing — and honed their shooting and bomb-making skills at training camps in the forests.

After two years Breivik was allowed to wear the gang’s skull and crossbones patch on his leather jerkin. One gang member said: ‘He was not a hardened fighter. He was a book reader.'”

Vidare skrev Aftonbladet i sin artikeln om English Defence League och dess svenska systerorganisation Swedish Defence League:

”Den 21 maj planeras en stor antimuslimsk demonstration i Göteborg. Bakom arrangemanget står nybildade Swedish Defence League (SDL), en organisation Säpo beskriver som mycket extrem.

VILL SPRIDA VIDARE

SDL:s systerorganisation, brittiska English Defence League (EDL), är uppbyggd av it-miljonären Alan Lake och beskrivs som en av de mest våldsamma grupperna i England. Många av de 20 000 medlemmarna är fotbollshuliganer, vana att slåss mot varandra. Nu demonstrerar de sida vid sida. Det slutar ständigt i upplopp.

Den 5 februari hölls EDL:s hittills största protestmarsch i Luton utanför London. På plats fanns även svenska extremister. De hälsades välkomna från scenen och flera av svenskarna uppträdde, enligt källor till Aftonbladet, maskerade.”

I bloggposten ”Swedish Defence League – huliganer mot islam” från 22 mars 2011 ger sajten Research.nu en bakgrundsbild som också pekar på, att det finns kopplingar mellan EDL:s svenska systerorganisation SDL och Sverigedemokraterna:

”Den 29 januari klättrade en överförfriskad skara uppför trapporna till Stockholms moské. Gruppbilden skulle nödvändigt tas utanför moskén på Södermalm. En av deltagarna ställde sig och pissade på byggnaden, påhejad av de andra. Swedish Defence League hade precis avslutat sitt uppstartsmöte.

– Vi skulle skoja till det och ta en gruppbild utanför moskén efteråt, säger sverigedemokraten Isak Nygren som deltog på mötet till Researchgruppen.

Antiislamiska protestorganisationen English Defence League har på bara något år blivit en massrörelse i Storbritannien. Rörelsen startade efter att unga islamister provocerade brittiska krigsveteraners marsch i Luton i mars 2009. Sedan gick utvecklingen snabbt. I en brittisk polisrapport från februari 2011 klassas EDL som det största inre hotet mot den offentliga ordningen i Storbritannien och varje manifestation slukar stora ekonomiska resurser på grund av massiv polisbevakning. EDL:s koncept är enkelt, bara en fråga om rätt tid och rätt plats. De genomför alla sina manifestationer i nära anslutning till högriskmatcher för att locka fotbollssupportrar.

SDL, SD och antiislamiseringsrörelsen

Förutom att samarbeta med Defence League-avdelningar i andra länder – som Danmark, Norge och Tyskland – ser sig SDL som en del av den bredare internationella antiislamiseringsrörelse som växt fram de senaste tio åren. ‘Att vi valt ett engelsk namn är för att visa vårt stöd och vår samhörighet med övriga Defence Leagues, framförallt våra vänner inom EDL som står i frontlinjen i strävan efter ett väst utan inflytande av islam. Vi stödjer även IFA, EFI och SIOE fullt ut’, skriver SDL på sin webbsida om de internationella antiislamistiska nätverken Geert Wilders International Freedom Alliance, European Freedom Initiative och Stop Islamisation Of Europe.

När Researchgruppen frågar Isak Nygren, som sitter som suppleant för Sverigedemokraterna i Katrineholms kommunfullmäktige, om Sverigedemokraterna inte har någon invändning mot hans engagemang i SDL svarar han:

– Sverigedemokraterna har ingen åsikt om sådana här grupper. 2009 tog man in en från EDL att prata. Det var Kent och Ted Ekeroth som gjorde det, de har ju Antiislamiseringsfonden, säger Isak Nygren.

Den man som Isak Nygren syftar på är Alan Lake, som bjöds in till Sverige av bröderna Ekeroth som en del i en rad seminarium som sponsrades av deras Antiislamiseringsfond. Seminarierna har hållits i Malmö, Göteborg, Stockholm och på Politikerveckan i Visby. Syftet med fonden är att ekonomiskt stötta antiislamiseringsrörelsen.

Det är genom Antiislamiseringsfonden som marken bereddes för bildandet av Swedish Defence League i Sverige. Ekeroth följer själv med intresse framväxten av English Defence League. Han har en egen officiell användare på forumet 4 Freedoms Comunity, ett viktigt forum för koordinationen av Defence Leages runt om i Europa. Det var till Malmöseminariet som Kent Ekeroth bjöd över English Defence Leagues ideolog, Alan Lake, att tala. I sitt konferensanförande, som Ekeroth lade ut i sin helhet på Youtube på sin personliga kanal, förklarade Lake EDLs strategi:

‘Vi prövar att gå ut till mer handfasta grupper som fotbollsfans. … Du kan blogga och skriva brev till din parlamentsledamot hur mycket som helst. Han struntar i det, i vad du säger. Det enda som kan få folk, jag menar ledarskiktet, att bry sig, det är om vi är många och om vi ibland går ut på gatorna. … Så om man kan få med sig de kraftfullaste grupperna, som gillar att gå ut på gatorna. Då får man en massa. Och de är inte rädda heller. Alla andra är rädda för att få stryk och bli anfallna. Det är inte de.’(Återgivet från Expo, nr 1, 2011)

– För det första har jag aldrig sagt att jag stöttar EDL. Alan Lake träffade jag på ett seminarium en gång och bjöd in honom att redogöra för hur man ska bemöta islamiseringen. Han var inte där i egenskap av företrädare för EDL. Jag visste inte ens vid det laget att han var det, säger Kent Ekeroth idag.”

”THE BRITISH CONNECTION:SEARCHLIGHT , THE London-based anti-fascist magazine, last night said it would today release information to prove that links exist between Norwegian Anders Behring Breivik, now charged with Friday’s massacre, and the British far-right organisation the English Defence League.

The declaration by the magazine last night came after it had questioned the Home Office’s view that there were no known links between the Norwegian killer and the far-right group, which was first established in Luton.

The magazine, which has reported on far-right activity for 25 years, said the information, “that even Breivik doesn’t know that we have”, will detail his contacts with the British group and will be posted on their website, hopenothate.org.uk.

“We had to wait for proof, but we have the proof now. We are not going to get involved in sensationalism. We want the British government to place the EDL on the same level as Islamic extremists,” said Searchlight’s Matthew Collins.

In London, prime minister David Cameron ordered the Home Office, police and the security services to focus urgently on the threat posed by far-right terrorism in the UK, which has, up to now, not been considered a priority.”

”In his 1,500-page ‘manifesto’, Anders Behring Breivik described attending the founding meeting of the Knights Templar in London in 2002 and wrote that his ‘assigned mentor’ was ‘referred to as Richard (the Lionhearted).’

He said he had a ‘relatively close relationship’ with the Englishman, who first described the concept of the ‘perfect knight’.

A blog was discovered by The Daily Telegraph written by an individual called the Lionheart, who has written about ‘Moslem’s soldiers … seeking to conquer our lands and take our civilized world back into the ‘Dark Ages’. He writes that ‘God will revive the ancient order of the Knights Templar and count me worthy to die amongst them in service of my God in protection of the Christian and Jewish world’.

The blogger’s real name is Paul Ray, from Bedfordshire, who described himself as one of the ‘founding fathers’ of the right-wing English Defence League. Mr Ray was arrested three years ago on suspicion of stirring up racial hatred with material on his blog.

In Bedfordshire, a man answering to the name Paul Ray said ‘I haven’t got anything to hide’.

Shown a picture that appeared to be him with the caption Lionheart, Mr Ray said: ‘That’s not me.’

He denied knowning Breivik or writing a blog.”
